Whether you’re at your wit’s end or want to make sure you never will be, our introductory and advanced parenting classes in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill and Wake Forest will improve your relationship with your child and help you feel more successful in the most important job you will ever have!
All Positive Parenting Solutions courses are based on the foundation of Adlerian Psychology. Our introductory and advanced level courses teach parents, teachers and caregivers how to lovingly and effectively discipline children to counteract frustrating misbehaviors like temper tantrums, sibling rivalry, not listening, whining, dawdling, arguing over chores and more. Positive Parenting Solutions classes give parents the concrete tools to foster cooperation, respect, independence, self-discipline and problem-solving skills in children.
Below you will find an overview of our classes. We offer 4 different classes to choose from but please note, not all classes are taught in all locations.

The Breakthrough Course is our most comprehensive introductory level course.
It is designed for parents with children ages 1 – 16. This age range may sound broad…but the principles of Adlerian Psychology apply to children of all ages (and to adults!). We provide specific examples of how to apply the strategies for children of all ages.

The Mini-Breakthrough Course is for parents of children ages 1-16. It is a shortened version of our more comprehensive 6-session Breakthrough Course.
4 Sessions – 2 hours each
Note: Topics NOT covered in this course include: sibling rivalry, competition and fighting and Family Meetings.

The Sibling Rivalry Solution is for parents of children ages 1-16 who want to specifically address the challenges of sibling rivalry, competition and fighting.
2 Sessions – 2 hours each + Online Pre-work

The Breakthrough Course ONLINE is for parents of children ages 1-16 who want to experience the same curriculum as our popular in-person class in a Web 2.0 multi-media format.
This online course features 24/7 access to 42 HD training videos, interactive learning modules, supplemental readings, detailed answers to FAQs and much more. The Breakthrough Course Online also includes free email and phone coaching.

ADVANCED Positive Parenting Solutions is for parents of children ages 4-18 who want to build on the tools and strategies learned in the introductory Breakthrough Course.
The curriculum includes a REFRESHER of the introductory class principles and strategies, in addition to new, advanced tools to correct frustrating misbehaviors, teach children life skills in judgment and decision making and advanced communication strategies.
4 Sessions – 2 hours each + Online Pre-work and Homework
